August Market Demand Survey
+ We need information about the potential demand for these products to encourage more local production of fruits and vegetables and other food items.
+ Therefore, we ask members to respond to our August Market Survey. This is not a casual request. This information in its own way is as important and valuable to the cooperative as the funds raised from our Capital Campaign. This fall our farmers will make their production decisions for the 2008 growing season. This survey will influence the amount of vegetables we have for sale in 2008.
+ Click on "Products sorted by producer".
+ Click on the Oklahoma Food Cooperative products.
+ The survey items are identified as "Product Surveys", such as "Egg Survey", "Cabbage Survey", Milk Survey, etc.
+ If the item is something you want to buy, click on the icon beside the survey text. If you would use more than one item (pounds, pints, gallons, etc.) go to your shopping cart and increase the amount.
NB: It is very important that you guestimate how much you would use of the item so that we know the amount of the potential demand.
+ You can also find the surveys scattered around in food product categories. For example, the Egg category includes the Egg Survey question.
+ Please assume the "best case" in answering the survey, that is, estimate the most you would use, not the least.
+ We will use this information to encourage farmers to start producing these food items, or to increase their existing production, assuming there is market demand for these food items.
+ Answering these questions doesn't add anything to your bill, nor does it deliver any of those items this month. It is not a commitment to buy them in the future.
+ You can answer the survey even if you don't buy anything this month.
